mother hangs the linen and god how empty do I look pinned up by the cuffs helpless between a pair of bloomers and a bra twitching in the breeze aching to be free though only half a man with my pants a little further upside down zip undone crotch exposed and going nowhere mother hangs the linen and lord how

empty do I feel

but then again I figure it’s not the clothes that make the man
