watch the chaos of the wind-swept autumn leaves swirling in the yard trying to match the serpentine weaves of a starling murmuration in the sky above all of which I hoped to capture with my simple words on a page of failing inspiration but I admit I am no match for the starlings' mystic flight nor for the leaves that sigh outside aspire … aspire … aspire reach for higher ever higher only to be fooled by these imaginary wings granted for a mere sweet spell by the fleeting reckless wind that tosses and drops us all at will
